Went Pokemon hunting. Judge on, judgers.

Anyway, found a street spot across from our convention center. Walked through the riverfront park. Finished playing the game, walked behind the convention center, and to the end street spot where I parked. Or so I thought. I look at where my car was (yes, my phone was put up at this point). And no car. Heart attack sets in.

I got towed? How? Why? When? Who did it? This spot isn’t marked, doesn’t have a meter, and there aren’t any special events going on.

I randomly pull the key fob out and frantically press the lock button and listen for the honk. And...

I was one intersection down from where I actually parked.

Fail.

I’ve had that moment of panic before. I’m a creature of habit and will normally park in the same spots and have to remind myself if I have to deviate from the norm so I don’t have a heart attack

Nice. I wound up discovering the “park” I was told about when I moved recently is a legit forest. Small but it has a name and a creek.

I was out hunting with my kids and my wife this evening. Mrs Ttyymmnn and I don’t hunt, since the boys have our phones. But it’s good time out with the kids, and I saw LOTS of others at the park—couples, groups of friends, parents with kids. It’s a crazy craze, but it really is getting people out and getting people together.

We finally got online this afternoon and my son promptly captured a bunch of Pokemon, trained at a couple of gyms and put two Pokemon in them, then took over another gym. It didn't last. All three of the gyms changed hands within three hours. It was a lot of fun riding around together with nothing to do but play a game.
